• Pet Friendly Wedding Ideas

  • Our Planners LOVE their pets. Our Owner and Lead Planner Monica has her 7lb pup Jack, who loves some snuggles! And our Lead Planner and Designer Cortney has three rescue pups and two rescue cats! So, needless to say, we totally understand loving your pets and wanting to include them on your wedding day! The truth is, including your pet on your wedding day doesn’t have to be as complicated as it seems. Ideally, we would all be able to bring our pets to our wedding so they can celebrate with us! Unfortunately, that’s not always possible due to venue restrictions, logistics, or the stress it can sometimes put on our pets.

There are however plenty of ways to include your pet without bringing them along on your wedding day. If you do decide that bringing your pet along is the right move for you, you can take a peek at our blog post that covers the in’s and out’s of including your pet without the stress. But if bringing your pet along on your wedding day isn’t a viable option for you, you can still include them by using some of the ideas we have for you!

    1. Pet Treat Favors

We truly love this idea. It’s easy, affordable, and perfect for including your pet. Pick out your favorite pet treats, a few of your favorite photos of you pet, and a cute sign (we may just be able to help provide your signage too!).  Simply make some good bags of treats and invite your guests to take one for their pets to enjoy after the wedding.

     2.  Pet Personalized Bar Napkins or Koozies

This is another really nice way to include your pet. There are a few ways you can do this as well. Bar napkins or koozies are a great choice as you can order them online through small shops on Etsy and can personalize them. If you decide to do koozies, these can double as a favor for your guests, which they can grab at the bar at cocktail hour and hang on to throughout the rest of your wedding.

    3. Pet Cake Toppers

This idea is a little more subtle while still giving a little nod towards your furry friend. These cute silhouette cake toppers can be personalized to include all of your pets and are really budget friendly as well. These particular cake toppers were purchased by our clients from small stores on Etsy. Another plus to ideas like this one, if you can save your cake topper and put it in a shadow box with other special details from your wedding.

    4. Signature Drinks Named After Your Pets

This might be a fan favorite. This is an adorable idea for including your pets that can be personalized and will be definitely seen and used by your guests. The other benefit to this option, is that you’re only purchasing one or two signs (depending on the number of bars in your wedding) instead of individual things like you would be if you were making favors. This idea is also fun because you can customize your drink choices and your guests will order their drinks using your pets names!

    5. Include a Selfie Stick Photo of Your Pet

This is absolutely our favorite thing. A few months ago, we had a client that brought a ruler with her pups faced printed and taped to it. Initially, they had just hoped guests would pick Tiger up at the photo booth and take photos with him. Instead, we asked guests throughout the evening to take photos with their dog Tiger and it was a hit! We even made sure our clients took a few photos with Tiger throughout the day and we posted all of the photos we took during their wedding to our instagram and tagged both Tiger and our bride! It was so much fun and they never expected us to make sure their guests took so many photos with Tiger and they were beyond pleased. We still made sure that Tiger spent some time at the photo booth, but he definitely ended up in some selfies and photographer’s photos!
